Description of the subject:

The flag symbolises the country! It has existed, although it has undergone many changes over the years, for about a thousand years. With ten Sardinian flags attached to canvases and stained with scenes from Sardinia's history, I have tried to visually represent the history of the island and its inhabitants. My ten paintings portray scenes of the different periods of history, beginning with the second millennium and going right up to the present time.
