About me

Why and what for
Drawing has been very important in my life from a very early age. I believe it is the ideal way for me to create a stage for my imagination and silently (or loudly) process my environment.
The pleasure of making someone laugh with a quirky drawing has always been something very special to me and inspires me to put down on paper the nonsense that runs through my head every day. The oblique line, the exaggeration and depiction of the absurd have always been tried and tested means of achieving this.
The quiet part in me paints naturalistic watercolours in which abstraction is deliberately kept within limits, as the texture of a body and the interplay of light and shadow seem to fascinate me in much the same way as the creation of an emotion from a mood play of colours.
